RapidFor™ Dengue IgG/IgM/NS1 Antigen Combo Rapid Test

The RapidFor™ Dengue IgG/IgM/NS1 Antigen Combo Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunoassay for the simultaneous qualitative detection and differentiation of Anti-Dengue IgG, Anti-Dengue IgM and Dengue NS1 antigen (DEN1, 2, 3, 4) in human serum, plasma or whole blood. The test is intended for professional use as a screening test and provides a preliminary result to support the diagnosis of dengue virus infection.

Dengue is an acute infectious disease of viral aetiology characterised by biphasic fever, headache and pain in various parts of the body. Dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a severe febrile illness that in some cases leads to a hypovolaemic shock syndrome, dengue shock syndrome (DSS). Dengue is a major health problem in subtropical and tropical regions and is considered one of the most important arthropod-borne viral diseases in terms of morbidity and mortality. There are four different serotypes of the dengue virus (DEN1, DEN2, DEN3 and DEN4).

The dengue virus NS1 antigen is the first immunological marker in the course of infection. Antibodies (IgM/IgG) are formed later after the antigen appears.
